I've asked this question before, and nobody has given me a good answer. On my 'ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS', i want to remove a 'spyware Remover' and the 'remove' and 'change' button isnt working(by that, i mean the button's letters arent inked in black and that means when i click the button, nothing happens, nothing at all! ive removed all of its properties and everything, and all i want to remove is the program for good!) Anyway, i keep trying to remove it and it wont work. Please, ive alreay done the whole'go to start...then settings--' stuff and MY PROBLEM IS THAT THE PROGRAM IS ON MY ADD/REMOVE PRGRAMS LIST AND I JUST WANNA GET RID OF IT. I WENT TO PROGRAM FILES, NOTHING THERE, IVE GONE TO COMMON FILES, NOTHING. JUST TELL ME HOW TO GET RID OF IT FROM THE LIST ITSELF!

Do this to get rid from entries in add/remove programs

Clear Unwanted Entries from Add/Remove Programs

Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT). from run command

Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Uninstall, and remove any unwanted subkeys under "Uninstall."

sometimes things are very difficult 2 remove.. did you delete the short cut from desk top and exit the icon from system tray ? did you go 2 start and see if it's listed on programs ? if you find it there, right click 2 highlight it and delete.. do the ctrl + alt and delete key, 2 see if program is running, if it is then click end task did you go 2 start and move your mouse over search and click files and folders.. and type in spyware remover or whatever the name says that your trying 2 remove, and let it seach all folders and delete them.. reboot and update your virus scan and run it.. still having problems, add details.. someone will have answers 4 you.. you can also click help at top and type in your question there..

I would suggest not to go to registry edit, 'coz if something goes wrong your computer will not work... will not startup also.

Try this first,
shut down your computer first, then start it n keep on tapping the "F8" key -> you will get a black screen which has some options like normal mode, safe mode... choose safe mode with arrow key and press enter. The computer will start in safe mode, which is used to troubleshoot issue with the computer. Once you go to the desktop, try going into add/remove programs n try to delete it. If it doesnt work, then try to search for the file using Search file/folder n locate the file. Then try to go to that location n try deleting it.

Try doing this first ... dont use "regedit", nobody would suggest regedit in the first go, it will mess up your computer if something goes wrong.

Hopefully this should work, otherwise maybe you can try regedit .

Gud luck!

To start Regedit.exe

1.Click Start, and then click Run.

2.Type Regedit, and then click OK.

Control + F and search for "spyware Remover" and delete the key

I have answered your question before, you dont either believe me, or your elevator does not quit go to the top floor, but I give it one last try, they are designed so that you cannot easily remove them you have to search for their files and remove the files.
