I know there are non OTC sleep aids but haven't seen them discussed here.

Remember, the same thing won't likely work for everybody, and when it does it won't likely work every time. I am a long time insomniac! Benadryl keeps me wired and awake, then groggy all the next day.

Rozerem works differently from the Ambiens' and likes as it works directly with the melatonin stored naturally by the body. I've used this PRN for two months and have seen a huge improvement.

Sleep hygiene is important too. Reading and watching tv are fun, but doing these kinds of things in bed may teach your brain wrong about bed time.

Don't work out before, don't drink too much ... all advice i've been given. Bits work, too!

I am an insomiac, you can either do relaxing things before u go to bed typically 45 min to 1 hour, u can sleep outside naturally helps, u can see a doctor and get perscipted pills. many things.

like take bath, read something, eat icecream, lay in bed relax, have a picture of what i look like. relax lol. jk. dont try so hard, just relax, u cant worry about it or it wont work

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

This isn't really a healthy solution, but if you're having that much trouble sleeping, the only solution is to get completely trashed and pass out.
