Of the 57 countries in the world that have an Islamic majority, in 29 of them there are laws against any Muslim trying to escape their religion by converting to another one or declaring apostacy. In many of these countries a Muslim who apostates will simply be killed, usually by his or her own family to escape their shame. In others, they are imprisoned or sent to insane asylums.

Most of these 29 nations are stone-age dumps like Niger, Somalia, Yemen, etc... But in Malaysia for example, the most technologically advanced and wealthiest Islamic nation in the world, the sentence is 2 years in prison.

Islam is the only religion allowed by law in 20 nations, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Kuwait, all U.S. allies (supposedly).

I can think of no nation on earth where any member of any other religion can be killed or imprisoned for choosing another, can you?

Of course you can't find that elsewhere; because we are not savages like them.

I think that it's time that all the non-Muslim Countries should start banning the practise of Islam in their lands and throw the savages back to those lands. And, of course, we should all place an embargo on them.

This is very scary.

actually back then there were many (the Roman Empire) and the christians and jews so mostly all religions have done that.

i understand where your going with this do this or get killed thing, the problem is many arabic countries adapt islam and mix they're own culture in with it. then they say it is what islam is about, and they take lots of things to a far extent for example, suppose somewhere in a holy book it said "he who does good will go to heaven" extremists will take this and say, it said "he"! so men are better, though this is not what god meant by saying this. and your not really supposed to convert away from islam if your a muslim but if you do you shouldnt be punished here. so in conlcusion i'm just saying that i think its more of a culture issue than religion

ps. all the guys up ther saying stuff like "they will never leave the stoneage" dude that's just mean and harsh, i know everybody is against muslims cuz of 9/11 but it was one group of crazy ppl who did it! just think about it, i can tell you the U.S. has a lot of criminals (the u.s.'s majority is Christian) so the propability of them being Christians is high. that definately does not make all christians bad! 99 % of Christians are nice, but again there is that 1 percent of crazy ppl in each religion that just has to ruin it. do you see my point?

i hope this helps

Well, not all bands condone satanism, racism, church burning or murder. A lot of them are simply show pride in their heritage and culture, nihilistic and hedonist. I can't say I'm very bothered by the church burning myself, since I don't really see a very Satanistic undertone everyone seems to see. A lot of people tried to burn down churches in Estonia as well, but not because they believed in Satan, it was because they rebelled against the religion that was forced upon us. When they came the destroyed the culture, and replaced it with Christianity. Some churches were certainly burned down because of Satanism, but not all. Varg Vikernes isn't really a Satanist himself, he burned down the churches that were built on the Pagan holy places. I think he said "If they had no respect for the Norwegian culture, why should the Norwegians respect their culture?". By burning down the churches, many people felt that they were taking back the land that was taken by Christianity. Burning down the churches was meant to shock people so they would realize what happened. Satan had nothing to do with it, no matter what Gaahl or who ever may try to say. Most of the "Satanistic" burnings were done after the huge media outburst, where they said stuff like "Satanists burned the churches" and "The devil is arrested!". So people actually did think that it was about Satanism. And about the murder, while I am in no way protecting Varg, Euronymous did try to kill him first. When they told him, Varg went along with Euronymous and when he pulled a knife, Varg pulled out his own. And so he ended up getting killed. But murder is murder, and he served his time. Also, he definitely has some mayor issues, have You seen the notice he wrote after the Norwegian attacks? Some bullcrap about Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Although it was a Christian who committed those murders. While I certainly am against Christianity and other religions, I don't feel that I have to go and murder someone because of it, that's how all this got started. So when I listen to Black Metal, I don't go around thinking "Hail Satan!" or whatever, but simply feel pride in my heritage, and perhaps a disliking of general religion. Simple as that. This ended up being way longer than I had planned.

There are many Pakistani Hindus living in Pakistan.
There are many non Muslims living in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran and other Islamic countries, though many of them may not be citizens.
And thank you for calling culturally rich countries stone age dumps. I'm sure they'll appreciate it.

Islam is a way of life. Islam is the government in these countries. If you leave Islam, you're as good as a traitor. (I'm not saying I support killing them, though)

This was not part of the original Koran or Shariah to have someone killed for converting out of Islam. In all the countries you mentioned, the laws themselves are propped more by a misoygnist, patriarchal culture influenced partly by true Islam and partly by extremely anti-feminine pre-Islamic cultures of the region.
In the true Koran, conversion is simple and the limit of wives is four! Then things took their course, priests and kings got out of hand, started feeling powerful, and it all ballooned out of control.
Be careful about the judgements you make on Islam- I know of many tolerant Muslims or "Islamics" as you so quaintly call them. Their standards are very different from our own. And Islam is a beautiful religion at its heart- I have many Muslim friends who are even tolerant of my handicap and my homosexuality.
Similar fuss went on about the custom of burqa or hijabi- veiling women to conceal them from the eyes of men, except for their (usually consanguineous) marriage partners. Women who choose to wear the burqa or hijab should be honored for their sacrifice and their commitment to their traditional culture, not abused out of hand by radical feminists who want to turn the world into a Western-style strip mall.

I hate it when people say we are "islamics"!! We are MUSLIMS. You don't just ad an "-ics" onto the religion's name as you do with other religions. It's offensive.

Your fact sheets are a bit biased don't you think???????

No Compulsion in Religion

[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient
[2:257] GOD is Lord of those who believe; He leads them out of darkness into the light. As for those who disbelieve, their lords are their idols; they lead them out of the light into darkness - these will be the dwellers of Hell; they abide in it forever.

Grossness of Murder

[5:32] Because of this, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. Our messengers went to them with clear proofs and revelations, but most of them, after all this, are still transgressing.

I will talk about my country, Malaysia.
Now the hottest news is about Lina Joy ( Azlina Jailani ) that want convert from Islam & marry with Indian-Christian from Sarawak. In Malaysia, when people say Malay, it automatically refer to Islam. That mean, Islam already successfully convert Malay from Hindus, Buddist & animism to one religion; Islam. That the 1st picture of unite of Malay in Malaysia. Malay people too sensitive when ppl touch about their king, their language, their country, their culture & race and lastly and most important, their religion! Before this, no act that can stop any Muslim to convert from Islam but after 1998, a syariah lawyer thought if Malaysia didnot have any law that can stop the Murtad, it will make Malay become not unite anymore. And it will make malay become two categories : Malay-Muslim & Malay-nonMuslim. That is serious in Malay community. So, that lawyer decide to make an act that can stop ppl from Murtad. That is not bcos Malaysia is modern Islamic country, Malaysia should forget about religion. In Malaysia, religion is always number 1.That why, all Malaysian 1stly must believe in God ( that mean they cannot be non-believer ). Malaysia believe everything must come from the attitude of citezen to the religion. That why, they will follow what religion thought either that come from Islam or other religion. Like, in Islam said Murtad is forbidden, so Malaysia decide Murtad is forbidden. In many states in Malaysia, we will stop with our own style not all state. Some state will use advice to that person ( that mean that person should attent the counseling for two months ( and most of them, cancelled their plan toconvert from Islam ), some use prisons like u etc. And got law that forbid the uner age kids ( under 18 ) convert to any religion without permission from their parent(s) in Perkara 12 Fasal (4). Actually 2 years in prisons already denied in any state in Malaysia but what make they got that punish when they do any guilty like make joke to islam & quran ( pay RM 50,000 or prison for maximum 3 years ) all this u can refer to Akta 559, Akta Kesalahan Jenayah Syariah ( Wilayah Persekutuan ) 1997 Bahagian III.

So, the killed is about culture. In Islam there is no statement that show someone should be kill if they Murtad bcos in Muhammad era, a man met Muhammad and said he want convert from Islam. Muhammad just be silent. For three times he met Muhammad and Muhammad still be quiet. After three times, he convert from Islam & go far away from Mecca. Muhammad knew that man will out from Mecca but Muhammad just let him go. In another story, a woman convert from Islam and she said something bad about Islam. After, many times she did like that, Allah ask Muhammad to kill that woman bcos there is no respectation from that woman to Islam, so Islam will not give the respectation to that woman too. islam is fair! You can convert from Islam but watch ur mouth. U r not Muslim anymore, so u have no opportunity to talk about Islam issues.

The universal penalty of treason is death, an even worse penalty is expulsion.

If a government did not kill or expel a traitor, you can bet the government was runned by a bunch of traitors.
