Foods that are naturally rich in iron include beans and peas, meats (especially red meats), dark green leafy vegetables, blackstrap molasses, and whole grains. Eating foods rich in vitamin C (such as orange juice) in the same meal helps your body absorb the iron.

Okay, you've heard the basic red meat, organ meat, leafy green vegetables but did you know that the best way to get and absorb dietary iron is to by a cast iron skillet and scrambled your eggs and sausage(organ meat) in that cast iron dish and eat it. Microscopic amounts of the cookware come off and into your food. However if you don't believe me you can talk to you local university's nutrition department.
