It is very sad that people take the Koran literally. I would say that it an allegory for the bliss of heaven. I believe that the shi'ites interpret much of the Koran in an allegoricall fashion. The old woman took it literally. She will know when she gets to Heaven, if she does.

Young Palestinian women have also blown themselves up. Perhaps the question should also be directed to them. I am not quite sure about the significance of sleeping with 72 virgin boys and as to whether that is what she intended by her act. Besides where would a mother or any women find 72 "untouched" boys in a such a war-ravaged hell-hole?

Yes. The 72 virgin boys who blew themselves up before her are settling for her, because it's not everyday that 72 virgin girls blow themselves up.
BTW, I don't think it's proper to bring religion into the picture. These suicide bombers are misguided terrorists who have been taught only the violent second half of the Koran. If religion is brought into the picture, I will just say that it will be impossible for the Jewish people to solve their neighboring problem because they only read the first half of the Bible. :-)

Unfortunately, I think she received a very unpleasant surprise when she stood before God and learned that she'd been misled into believing that the God of the universe would actually reward her for killing innocent people who had never done her any harm. It's very sad...
