Will an affair with a married soldier survive after the deployment?

I've posted this question once but I'd like to gain more feedback.

A friend is carrying on a sexual relationship with a married man while they are both are deployed. I suspect he thinks the fling is just that, a fling, and will discontinue contact with her upon his return to his duty station. She is hoping they will continue to communicate and she will see him from time to time when she returns to her duty station.

Also, she tells he me keeps his wedding ring on during the act which I find a little odd. He doesn't talk about his wife much but he frequently talks about his kid. I think he likes her but it's just sexual for him.

He's very attracted to her and they get together as much as possible. I think she is beginning to have feelings for him. I try to tell her it's just a deployment affair and to just enjoy the sex. She confided in me that she hopes to continue the affair when the leave.

The main problem is the army is a small place. Especially if you live in military housing. Your neighbors are always watching and rumors spread quickly. Affairs can lead to lowered morale of a unit along with official investigations my MPI and CID agencies. Soldiers convicted of adulty can suffer from demotions in rank. Also there are the reprecussions of his wife possibly finding out. Assuming he has been married for more than 10 years. If he endsd up getting divorced his wife is entitiled to half his retirement pay. There is a lot more at stake when having an affair in the militay to consider than just the sex. Just remember, what happens down range doesn't always stay down range. But you must always be prepared for the consequences of your actions.

You are the very right good friend to her. Tell her to enjoy "the deployment", and to have him withdraw as soon as he gets back home where the mamma is waiting to hug him while checking on the wedding ring, and where the kids are chanting the victorious return of the dad.
You are a good friend. Tell her to keep the lust going, until she gets back and have another life.Sex is a good thing when deployed, althoguh not legal. But what is legal when you watch GW sending people to their death ?
I have a question though : Are you the wife of the victorious ???

"Till death do us part" He is cheating, she is supporting it because they are more worried about their libedos than their values. I would not butter it up. What they are doing is wrong an they both know it. Uncle sam enforcing it does not set the moral standard. Give them honest opinions and do not "try to be a friend" I was deployed, I have seen the worst. This "fling" is wrong. and the fact that there is no trust intended proves it.

i do no longer think of so which you could be encouraging her to sleep with a married guy no be counted the circumstances. it rather isn't any longer what a genuine chum might do! this is carefully insane. it rather is purely intercourse and if he's wearing his wedding ceremony ring throughout the time of the intercourse, there is not any way in he l l that he's going to prefer to proceed on the SEXUAL dating that they've. And, why might she prefer a dating with him besides? he's cheating on his spouse. who's to assert that in the event that they did party, he might proceed to be honest to her?! tell her to leave yet another woman's guy on my own. come across a guy for herself. I think she's making a BIG mistake, my GOD he's married. Does she not realize that they both can be court martialled? Would serve them right if they were. You might want to remind her that what goes around comes around. Karma will always get ya.

I think they're both pieces of crap who deserve eachother and I hope his wife finds out and leaves him for a better man. Your slut friend and her piece of crap lover should be together and I hope he cheats on her as well. I friggin hate cheaters.

i think she sould tell the poor girl wife that his husband is cheeting on her first. then i think the homewrecker and the cheeting whore will make a wellsuited couple

he is married and what goes around comes around....whenever she gets married someone will try to tear up her home....i really hope that she is at least smart enough to use protection.
