It the ago old custom that the man purposes. It's the way we are raised. We have been taught that it's the man who gets on bended knee and pops the question. And honestly some men also prefer it that way. Nothing wrong with a woman doing it just seems out of the normal scheme of the way things have always been. We often dream about begin asked, don't think it has anything to do with shyness, or fear.

just like boys girls are afraid of rejection too. and some girls just feel the boy should be the one proposing.
