Fact. The real question is do you believe there is a God. If you believe there is a God then miracles are not only possible but probable. If you look at archeology about half of the artifacts they find have to do with religion(they find burials grounds that are religious in nature, they find temple areas, all cultures and all the different empires had some kind of a religion....). Also, man cannot do away with religion. Communism tried to eliminate christianity and all religion. Lenin said that religion was the opiate of the people. He outlawed it and persecuted anyone who practiced religion. Yet Communism could not conquer religion. It eventually conquered communism. Man just seems to have an innate desire to know about God. He seems to have been created that way. Would God create us with a desire to know about Him and then never do nothing in space and time to let us know He exists. I don't think so. Therefore, as I said before, miracles are not only possible but probable.
The last article I read on astronomy said that there was 1 billion trillion stars out there.....not 1 trillion.....not 10 trillion....not 100 trillion....but 1BILLION TRILLION stars. That's a pretty big universe. If God created this awesome universe with all it's physical laws and life itself with it's immense complexities, He wouldn't have much of a problem with Noahs ark. If you're having a problem with the flood or with Jonah and the big fish or Moses and the Isrealites crossing the Red Sea, your problem is not with those events. Your problem is with Genesis 1:1, "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth".

The story of Noah in the Bible is the word of ancient ignorant men pretending to be god. These ignorant men who also believed that the Earth was flat didn't know that 2 of every species of living thing on this planet weighs over 50 million tons. Noah would have needed an Arc a mile long and Noah would have to go to the Arctic regions to gather 2 Polar Bears. So much of the Bible has been proven wrong, but it opiates a lot of people.

Billy Graham had a comment on this subject that is very interesting.
I agree. The Hebrew culture communicated alot using figurative an metaphorical language. Many of the events of the Bible are historical fact.
The historical facts often say something very profound about human nature and human existance.
Some are metaphoric pictures that have very significant meaning to the culture of man and human behavior. Read the miracles and find the meaning behind them that can be applied to human existance. Read the events and their context. What do the events lead to, and how do each of the characters react to the events. They all mean something very relevant, and very important.
Billy Graham interview with NEWSWEEK's Jon Meacham
2006 Aug 07, Pilgrim’s Progress. WWW, http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14204483/
"The new interviews with NEWSWEEK, however, reveal a more intriguing figure than either his followers or his critics might assume. He [Billy Graham. sic] is an evangelist still unequivocally committed to the Gospel, but increasingly thinks God's ways and means are veiled from human eyes and wrapped in mystery. "There are many things that I don't understand," he says. He does not believe that Christians need to take every verse of the Bible literally; "sincere Christians," he says, "can disagree about the details of Scripture and theology—absolutely."

Over the centuries, many were chalked up as "good fiction / just an illustration". Then comes modern times and archiologists keep digging up the places and history of the events described in the bible. It has happened enough times that people are starting to wonder if it is all fact.
Noah's ark should show up pretty soon. Hostile governments have kept us out of the suspected areas for a very long time. But with global warming melting glaciers and satalites looking down, we should be able to see it soon.

Scientific research indicates that there was a "universal flood". Many cultures have a flood story.
Do you think Noah's Ark was any more extraordinary than the Space Shuttle?

Neither. They are claims with no evidence. There is no evidence of a worldwide flood, nor is there evidence of talking animals or unicorns. Most are merely tales that have been passed down by desert nomads who needed explanations for things they could not understand back then.

depending on which ones you are looking at some can be called theory. scientists have been working on possible ways for the exodous from egypt could have occured (disease could have something to do with all the cattle dying). there are some though that are pure legend on my opinion. (not myth legend. myth explains why something in nature happends. the miracles are legends)

Noah was based on the Epic of Gilgamesh. ( A much earlier flood story.)

Well, we know that that was a grand inundation in ancient times and they say they have found the frame work of a ship on the side of Mt. Ararat so it may be true Even though it seem that all those animals would not fit into a vessel and then their food too.
Who knows!

They are fact.
The dinosaurs didn't make it onto the ark - too big. The way we find their bones preserved indicates a fairly quick death by water furthermore supporting the fact of the great flood.
