If a guy doesn't like you would he tell you no if you asked to lay on his knee? In High School I asked a guy and he told me no. Last night (I'm out of high school) this guy I know said sure. We don't see each other often. We haven't seen eachother in 6months. We're friends through friends.
He used to bring up his gf all last year whenever we hang, yesterday he didn't. I didn't want to ask if they broke up but i think they did. :S
It felt like we were being set up. Our friends were making out the whole time. If we are somewhat friends, and he has no feelings for me, would he have said no to letting me lay on his lap?
OR, since he said YES, does that mean he LIKES me?

Don't jump to any conclusions just from him saying yes or no, sweetie. You must talk to him for a while to know if he likes you, and talking to him is the best way to MAKE him like you! And go back and finish school, for heaven's sakes. If you don't know whether a boy likes you or not, you're way too young to be out of school.

MOST girls prefer a guy that is taller. Not because they want to look UP all the time, but because on a subconscious level height means strength. And strength means protection and safety. This is just a primal thing that you cant really control. Unfortunately girls are not going to get much taller than what you are looking at now! LOL As a 6' tall girl I can tell you that it is very hard to find a guy taller than I am (that I actually like!) and it frustrates me to see a really tall guy (that I WOULD date) with a girl who is super short!! O.o But for now, since you're in High School if you want to date you have to choose from what is available! And that may mean a girl who is short... just find someone you LIKE!! The odds of you finding a girl as tall as you is pretty slim (trust me!). My son is 18 (just turned) and 6'2 and his girlfriend is only like 5' 6 maybe?? It works I guess... lol He does have to stoop down to kiss her all the time, but whatcha gonna do? And I don't know many girls who like guys that are SHORTER than they are!?

Tara honey, you sound way too young to be dating. If a guy let's you lay down on his stomach, all that means is he is being nice to you. He could also want you in sexual ways that you are not ready for. If he wants to date you, he'll let you know. But seriously, you asked this question on yahoo 3 times within the last half hour. You need to get a life and stop obsessing over guys. There is plenty of time for them later in life. If you appear to NEEDY to this guy, or any guy for that matter, you'll make them not want to be with you, except perhaps to use you for sex. So PLEASE be carefull honey. You are so young, make the right choices. And if you do have sex, PLEASE use condoms or birth control. You are not ready for a baby and you certainly don't want any sexually transmitted diseases. why would you ask him to sit on his lap? I've never heard that one before, just because he accepted it doesn't mean he likes you, probably he just didn't want to be rude or offend you....the other guy that said "no" straight out was just an insensitive bastard, but this guy seems to have more class! I'm not trying to make you feel bad or anything, I'm just saying that if he accepted for you to sit on his lap it doesn't necessarily mean he likes you, but it could be, the only way to find out if he likes you is to ask him, I dont see any other way, cause there could be many meanings, if you try to findout what his feelings for you are, you'll drive yourself crazy, trust me, I've been there....so just try to see other things, like how he acts around you, I'm sure you'll be able to tell how he feels, or if he likes you....does he act nervous? things like those, but trust me if you really want to know what he feels for you, ask him....is better if you find out from him, than trying to guess!! Well kind of yes i am going through the same problems and i am in highschool a boy i know i like him alot were just friends though and i'm scared to ask him out so i am going to give you the same advice my bestest bestest bestest guyfriend gave me just go up to him and tell him and if he says he dont like you just move on but i'm shy and nervus to ask him too.

Don't play games. The best, easiest, wisest thing to do is to just come out and tell him that you like him. If he likes you then the rest will follow.

I would say that he is comfortable enough to let you lay your head on his lap, so he most likely does like you.

he could have been just being nice,even if he just broke up with his girlfried you don't want to be the rebound. and if you value him as a friend don't scare him off by being pushy.
