Not sure about Russia. They would benefit from higher fossil fuel prices as they produce it. But China needs oil to fuel its growth. A boost in oil prices would stall that growth. As such, destabilization in the middle east does not help them. Moreover, one of China's biggest trading partners is the US. China and the US are interdependent, but I wonder what would happen if the US cut China off. Who would be worse off? Probably China (although we would go without new shoes for a while). As such, anything bad that happens to the US is bad for China.
