Read. A lot. Start with English language newspapers; you will be aware of the general content of the stories from your native language. When you get better, read novels and technical books.

HI, the best way is firstly, listen to an English News channel or better BBC News.Secondly, read English news paper, read any article of your interest, observe the words used to express the specific subject.Thirdly, try to be amongst any of your friend who speaks good English, obseve the way he speaks and then try speaking youself.Lastly, for vocabulary building buy Norman Lewis-word power made easy and Roget's pocket Thesaurus(It has synonyms and antonyms).If you are from Mumbai go to fort area you will get second hand books at half price.Lastly subscribe to dictionary .com, this site will send you one word everyday to build your vocabulary.However the first step is to buy a good dictionary:Oxford is suggested.Hey mate, its just a language, so learn with fun, all the best luck,cheers!!!shreya

though i am poor in english like u but u can refer to some of the oxford english books which would help u in improving.

look, u can read...reading does a lot..it gets u into the atmosphere of this language...but remember always read books which are very good or by english authors only bcoz then only will u get into the english atmosphere of free speaking.
moreovr u have to practise with ur speaking skills as well. try to spk more n more in english....try...u'll surely get it.

U should speak Hinglish regularly with your companions and read English newspapers. After regular speaking, the Hinglish will convert to English and U will get the goal.

read english newspapers, proses etc.... refer dictionary for new words.... keep on communicating with people in english who knows english better than you...think in english, speak english, dream in english... take care.. all the best.

just start reading english newspaper select one para daily translet it in your mothertongue which will help you in knowing different english word
