In general CNG capable vehicles would come from an after-market firm, though some Detroit vehicles come as "multi-fuel" or "flex-fuel".

The main problem is limited availability of fueling stations. In the ENTIRE San Francisco city limits, there is only ONE CNG refuel station. I am NOT kidding.

Its absolutely safe. You should get the kit fitted from authorised dealers. And have it entered in your RC book. But it is wise to get one only if you are travelling everyday at least 50kms. But in the long run your engine life will be reduced.
