If you are gaining weight, you need to cut back on calories and work out more. Burning only 100 calories a day is not much at all - you should increase it to at least 400 per day if you want to see any results. Cut out any unnecessary calories, like from sodas, fruit juice, etc. Good luck!

Hey, it's almost New Years. What a great time to make a resolution to lose weight! I wish you the best of luck in it.

You really have to look at two areas of your life and adjust them to match your goals:

* Diet
* Exercise

You simply can't get around these two facts. You have to consume fewer calories than you burn each day to loose weight. So if you don't change your diet, then you'll have to exercise more. Frankly, it's easier to adjust both things. Eat less, or eat smarter and exercise moderately. You don't have to go overboard. A 20 minute walk around the block is exercise.

Find someone who can share the goal with you. Another overweight friend who will walk with you. That helps a lot. You can encourage each other.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

If you burn 100 calories a day, and eat a maintenance diet, you will lose less than a pound a month.

If you run an hour a day at a moderate (5.3 mph), you will lose a pound every 4 days, sometimes more. If you moderate your diet to be just under maintenance in addition to running, you can safely lose 2-3 pounds a week of fat.

The time does NOT matter at all, do not believe anyone who tells you it does.

Losing weight is a matter of dedication and discipline.

One of the major facts about losing weight is that you need to burn off more energy than you eat.

While running on a treadmill though admirable, doing actual running (sprinting and running) is better, plus lifting weight.

other than the exercise you need a good and balanced diet.

A 146 lb person burns roughly 113 calories for 30 minutes of walking at a moderate pace.

If you round it to 100 calories and realize you need to burn 3500 calories to lose 1 pound, you'll see 35 days = 1 pound.

Diet is much more efficient at weight loss. Please take a look at the Success Photos below for inspiration!

the treadmill never worked for me. Go out and do a 30 min jog in nature. Since nature has hills and slopes and is uneven you get a better work out than on a flat surface. Do it about 4-5 times a week.

It really doesn't make that big of difference what time of day you exercise.

You may want to consider increasing the speed and the incline to burn more calories. Also, you may want to try to burn more than a 100 calories. That really isn't that many considering 14 potato chips=140 calories or 1 slice of regular white bread=90 calories

Also, do you think you may be eating more, because you feel like you'll burn it off later?

Having seen this I really want to share something because I spent many many years switching from diet to diet without any success until I discovered Pams magic plan (google it). It is without a doubt the best weight loss that I have ever achieved and I have not put it back on to this day.
