Also, will it burn my 220v equiment ?

You may get a severe hum, and it has the potential for damaging your equipment. Just get a voltage converter and play it safe.

it will not work because there is not enough voltage to power the equipment. you can use a 220 plug in a 110v outlet but not vice versa because 1 of the prongs of the 110v plug is a little bigger than the other prong.

Unless the equipment is rated for 110/220 v operation, you will have problems. It is ulikely that you will burn anything out (unlike the reverse situation) but the equipment will not work properly (if at all). Some devices using motors with speed regulators may overheat.

the 220v equipment should have a different plug than than a 110v outlet, not making it possible
