Virginity protects from cancer cervix, because one of its etiological agent is Human papilloma Virus, strains 16 and 18 and it can be acquired through sexual intercourse if the partner is infected.
Also there is an increased incidence of breast cancer in nulliparous woman. So even if you have sex, and remain nulliparous, there is an increased incidence of Breast Cancer.

NO whoever told you this needs a little more education.

The only thing i can thing of where they got this idea from is the influenance of child bearing.

Pregnancy reduces your risk of breast cancer. If you have sex a lot it hightens your risk of contracting HPV a virus that is closely associated with cervical cancer.

Dont worry about being a virgin, if anything it preserves your health.

not actually virginity, but getting pregnant reduces the risk of having breast cancer..

not really virginity per se. but not having your own child or being pregnant can lead to endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer or breast cancer due to estrogen however it may protect you from cervical cancer

in one study, Nuns who were virgins had a lower incidence of cervical cancer than women who had engaged in sex.
The numbers were higher in the second group for the subgroup who had sex earlier in their teens. hmmmmmm
