The premise is false.

The Englishman would get an American to fight for him, and the Frenhman wouldn't stick around to see who showed up.

The USA will intervene militarily against the French man to rescue the English man but USA is going to put a mess all over the place ... they are going to kill all the people around. The USA will try, once again, to cover up their mistake by developping new strategies that lead people to focus on something else and forget about the mess. Until now, the two men are still fighting.
