i have icicle lights and when i put them up they blow a fuse
i do not know what to do. do i put them on more than one extension cord?

Three strings of light is the maximum you can install on one cord. If you have less than this test the lights inside on an outlet. if you still blow a fuse, then get rid of the string. It's a bad set. If it doesn't blow the fuse then you have problems with the power being supplied to the lights. Have an electrician check it out.

Remember the fuse is there for a reason (saftey factors) don't screw around and burn you house down. It's much cheaper to buy a $10 set of lights than pay a $1000 deductable on you homeowners ins.

Those strings can only be hooked one to the next to the next to a total of 3. You can run a heavy cord to the roof and split it into 2 or 3 cords with an adapter, then power each string.

sounds like your power just isnt strong enough to deal with them, leave them off till you can have an electrician look at them.
