I can't tell from your picture---it's tiny on my screen, but I believe you're male (?). Regardless, you need to include meat proteins in your diet. The body, regardless of the processed, genetically altered and/or synthetic amino acids in protein shakes that MAY be of benefit (I would simply take a good powdered glutamine supplement instead)...needs the specific types of protein found it meat. Otherwise, your muscles will probably never grow in the way you want them. LEAN meats (we're talking fresh fish from a quality health food store), boneless, skinless chicken breast, HORMONE AND ANTIBIOTIC FREE hamburger meat (at LEAST 93% lean), egg whites, etc. Most people need slightly more protein than 1 g per lb. of body weight to gain additional muscle (about 1.2 g/lb)---and about 0.8-1 to maintain. A good way to gauge this is to calculate 1 g/lb of body weight for your GOAL weight. You also desperately need carbs to gain and maintain muscle. GOOD carbs, like brown rice, sweet potatoes/yams, steel-cut oatmeal, beans, 100% whole grains like 100% whole wheat cereals (but avoid bread!), etc. Eat healthy fats, like olive oil, avocado, nut butters (almond is great!), etc. But to gain muscle, focus on carbs and high quality sourced protein. If you are male, you probably need considerably more food. Make sure your milk is hormone and antibiotic-free and preferably skim. Milkfat isn't good for ANY human, even trying to gain weight. It will turn to body fat, not muscle. Eat TONS of green veggies and include some fruit as well. Take a high-quality, pharmaceutical grade multivitamin such as Garden of Life's Multivitamin for Men. You may want to include digestive enzymes to help break down your foods, such as Garden of Life's Omega-Zyme. No, I don't sell for them, but I highly recommend their products. Good luck! ALSO...remember, when gaining muscle weight, to eat especially clean, just as if you were on a diet. It's all too easy for your body to gain FAT weight when increasing calories. And I have no idea what 8 kg amounts to in lb. Would have to convert it, but it doesn't sound like a huge amount.

Dont know much about protein shakes, personally I prefer meat though, milk is good but gets boring, could add cheese, yogurt or something else. Vegies are great, but some fruit would be nice too. Multivitamins are good but not for the long term. What about some carbs? A bit of bread or rice or potatoes will give you a bit of energy. The diet you suggested is way too restrictive. Personally I wouldnt stay on it for more than a few days, there is just too many things it is missing to be healthy.

Sounds like you have been reading too may magazines that places a diet on a pill or shake rather than old fasioned calorie cutting. You should eat some kind of meat only because the pills and shakes will not supply your body with the needed amount of protein, and your body will digest these things faster, resulting in your body being hungrier more often. The food that you intake has to go through a long process of digestion, which is vey crucial in absorbing needed nutrients that keep your body fueled up for the day. DOnt get me wrong now, i dont want to discourage you way of thinking, it is a good idea to take vitamins, or even protein, but food is necessary. Try reducking the amount of acrbohyfrates you intake, along with polyunsaturated fats. These are the real fat causers. Carbohydrates are designed to remain in your body for a longer period of time, thus you will have to do more to get rid of them. And polyunsaturated fats are harder to breakdown as well because they are composed of many types of fat. Also, if you are planning on losing weight from this diet, try eating alot of vegetables like, beans, potatoes, and poultry or seafood that is not fried. As well as excerscising for at least 1 and a half hours a week, you will have no problems. Hope I have helped.

Add some lean meat such as chicken or fish to your diet. Protein shakes are not a good substitute, you need some of that natural protein, the shake is a supliment. Also add some fruit and a bit of carbs for energy, but minimize it.

okay ... don't forget that the only energy source for you brain comes from GLUCOSE, nothing else, so put some carbs into your diet (specially for breakfast) when my bf was lifting like crazy he ate GO-lean cereal, I think the brand is Kashi. It is high in proteins and fiber, and has the carbs you need to activate your brain in the morning.

If you are getting all your protein from protein shakes, make sure you are gettin ALL your ESSENTIAL AMINO ACIDS, because those stuffs are incomplete sometimes, and when your body lacks a nutrient.. eventually you get sick.

Curious as to why you would pick protein shakes over chicken or fish?

Either way, your diet is fine for muscle building. Don't overdo the protein shakes or you're simply adding extra calories.

Good job taking a multi-vitamin, too!
