i'm a 19 yr. old female who's always been struggling with gaining weight. I recently dropped from 100 lbs to 92 and i cant seem to gain weight. If there is one thing i would love would be to gain 20 pounds to my curent weight, but now im more concerned on reaching at least 100lbs. PLEASE let me know how i can gain and how long would it take to reach to 110lbs. are their any fruits that help gain...i heard bananas slow down matabolism...is this true?.....sometimes i cant eat because i worry too much about little things i shouldnt worry and that destroys my appetite. im afraid i can ge sick soon and develope an eating disorder...please help....Thanks

according to my boyfriend, when he was a teen he had the same problem, he had this....2 bottles of beer (preferably SAN MIGUEL PALE PILSEN) a day and 2 duck/chicken eggs ("BALUT"*** or hard boiled) to be taken every other day aside from your regular meals for 2 weeks or more depending on your desired weight. this really worked for him! now his problem is how to lose weight! LOL....good luck!

***BALUT:
A balut (or Hột vịt lộn in Vietnamese) is a fertilized duck egg with a nearly-developed embryo inside that is boiled and eaten in the shell. They are considered delicacies of Asia and especially the Philippines, China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Popularly believed to be an aphrodisiac and considered a high-protein, hearty snack, baluts are mostly sold by street vendors at night in the regions where they are available. They are often served accompanied with consumption of beer. The Filipino and Malay word balut(balot) roughly translates to mean "wrapped".

Balut are most often eaten with a pinch of salt, though some balut-eaters prefer chili and vinegar to complement their egg. The eggs are savored for their balance of textures and flavors; the broth surrounding the embryo is sipped from the egg before the shell is peeled and the yolk and young chick inside can be eaten. All of the contents of the egg are consumed. In the Philippines, Balut have recently entered higher cuisine by being served as appetizers in restaurants: cooked adobo style, fried in omelettes or even used as filling in baked pastries.

Bananas don't lower metabolism, they're actually pretty good for gaining weight because they're very high in carbs.

If you have trouble eating because you worry about things, try eating small things (1 thing) but 6-8 times a day.

A good weight gain aid would be Slim Fast type shakes used as a snack, not a meal replacement.

Go to a doctor or nutritionist. Unless you are under five feet tall you are too thin. The fact that you want to gain suggests that you probably do not have an eating disorder, but a metabolism problem. You seem to have a realisitic idea that you are underweight and you need to gain. Someone with an eating disorder normally does not see that or accept that.

Just wanted to let you know that difficulty gaining weight is a common symptom of celiac disease, which you might want to look into.

Read the book of Dr.Paul Breg- "The miracle of starvation".
Something on your food make you full with toxins and that prevent you to be beautiful!You need special diet and clean air and you will get weight again.And may be your environment is not good for you,also?
And one advice:
Take every day one fresh egg yolk with 2 spoons honey and mixed and eat it!+ folic acid.
You will be fine.
