I think that you should wait until you do reach 18 before getting romanticly involved with him because too many bad things could happen if you guys get into a fight since you are still a minor. But after you turn 18, you should go for it. I'm 26 and am dating a 42 year old. Most of them still act like they're 15 not matter how old they get. lol

Yes.
The age difference is too great. According to The Formula, the youngest person a 26 year old can date is (26/2) + 7 = 20. The oldest person a 17 year old can date by The Formula is (17 - 7)/2 = 20.

For the next 8 months he sure as heck is because you would be allowing him to commit a crime!
After that, it all depends on how adult you are, not how adult seeming, but how adult you are - because by the time you are 26 you have learned at least 100 basic life skills that you do not have at 17 and you can use those skills to manipulate another.
Think of it this way, he is thinking homes, jobs and future, you are thinking mall, pedicure and dang it would be nice if the parentss kept paying for my food, housing, gas, etc.

It all depends on your maturity level.
By rights, once you turn 18, you're an "adult", so there's nothing wrong with it legally.
I don't like putting age limits on things, so again, it's all a maturity thing. If you really get along well and you're really interested in each other and neither of you care about the age difference, then why not? Just be prepared for possible backlash from friends and family. So be sure that you care enough about each other to be able to stand up and be strong through the criticism.

yes, he is too old for you. you're not 18 yet, and he's pushing 30!
there's just too much of an age difference. and it makes me wonder if his intentions are on the up and up. I'm certainly not trying to make you feel bad, but you'd be much better off finding someone closer to your own age. and be careful around this guy, he just doesn't sound trustable to me.
I hope this helps you out.

sounds kind of too old because your still under age. but i was 19 when i got with my boyfriend who was 25 at the time. you have a little more of an age difference than me but remember there may be more or less maturity on your part also. depends on the situation i guess.

Hell yes!
Men that age are set in their ways and the ONLY reason why they date younger women is because they know they are control them in some way.
Once you grow up a bit you will leave him and understand what I'm saying.
He's not for you.
At your age I wouldn't date back 20-21.

Yes. There is something wrong with an adult male who likes very young girls. Beware.
