An aire is a song. I think it's a particular type of song, but I don't know what type. But an example is the famous "Londonderry Aire," which is the tune for "Danny Boy."
Air, of course, means the atmosphere around us, and also has many other meanings, many of which derive from the concept of the atmosphere (air things out, up in the air, on the air (as in radio broadcasts), etc.).

Aire is a physical attribute, of which "He walked with a jaunty aire" is an example. Air is synonymous with oxygen: that which you are, most hopefully, breathing right now.
