My mom had a few of these. The favorite album of everyone in my family growing up was "O Tannenbaum: Christmas on the Rhine". A wonderful choral blend with effective use of chimes, and a nice mixture of some of the very best sacred and secular seasonal pieces.
Last I saw it was as an LP from Decca Records. Don't know if they ever put it on CD. Here's the song list:
[1] O Tannenbaum
[2] Stille Nacht
[3] Kommet Hir Hirten
[4] Suesser Die Glocken nie Klingen
[5] Leise Rieselt der Schnee
[6] Vom Himmel Hoch
[7] O Du Froehliche, O Du Selige
[8] Es ist ein Ros' Entsprungen
[9] Am Weihnachtsbaum
[10] Alle Jahre Wieder
[11] Ihr Kinderlein Kommet
[12] Kling Gloeckchen

The songs from the last person are right on the money. Traditionally these songs are sung by children choruses. I personally like the ones where the arcustic sounds like a church.
If you can't find a CD, I can check my inventory at home. I am a german female living in Florida paradise.

possibly it extremely is no longer a dislike extremely, yet extremely the reality that the radio stations stat cramming it down your throat in the past and in the past each twelve months. This twelve months, one Baton Rouge, la station began with it on November 1st. way too early. I even think of that non-end Christmas music should not be performed 24/7 until the week of Christmas. only one opinion. So, no, you're actually not a Bah-hum-malicious program individual.

I think you can download some music free and legal... Very famous in germany are songs like "Stille Nacht, Jingle Bells, Alle Jahre wieder, Ih du fröhliche" and so on... Some songs you can download here: http://www.kulturumsonst.com/weihnachtslieder/Weihnachten.php , but i dont like the singer's voice :-)
