Just wondering because alot of people I talk to from overseas (especially Americans) have absolutely no idea that we even exist.

you are 2 big islands alittle southeast of Australia.
I would love to visit there someday!

New Zealand is a country composed of two islands near Australia.

By the way, I'm from Costa Rica.
I'm also a soccer fan and I know that your soccer national team is called the "All Whites". You classified for the 1982 world cup in Spain.

I'm from Belgium and I spent a wonderful 3 weeks in New Zealand (the South Island) two years ago.

So much beautiful nature and landscapes! Breathtaking!

I know where New Zealand is. We had an exchange student from New Zealand when I was in high school. I would like to go there someday, the pictures she showed us of her country were really beautiful.

i do, im not sure where does the americans you are talking to from. but for californians, we are familiar with new zealand especially when the lord of the ring trilogy became hit, the view is spectacular, its awesome...

we're familiar with auckland, wellington, christchurch and among others.

also, a lot of movie is being filmed in your area so your country is being expose for tourism. and hope someday, i can visit your place since i love the nature and the mountain. i am planning to check the area, its neighboring country is another place i wanted to see someday. i will be in australia to attend a friend's wedding..hoping it will be soon....

I know where you are been there a few times lovely place. Not bad footballers either just watched the rugby league good game your boys can be proud of them selves. Love your bay of islands would like to bring it back to Australia with me. Where are you from in NZD.

I'm from Rhode Island (Vermont originally).....NZ is approximately 1800 km southwest of Australia....I've heard it's breathtaking and I hope to visit some day!

On a personal note, I also find it disgusting how little most people know about geography (and our world in general)....

and this surprises you because? America is a BIG country and you'd be surprised how little Americans know about THEIR OWN COUNTRY, so don't be in a snit.
