I have been doing so well for about a month! Eating healthy, cutting back on calories and exercising 6 days a week..then thanksgiving came and I completely screwed things up. It was tough resisting such great food, especially food that I haven't even looked at in so long! My goal weight is to be 12-15 pounds lighter by the end of December. Will this slow me down significantly? What can I do, exercise more and cut back on calories even more?

I don't think one day is going ruin anything, just get back on track.

You can do that if you like, but trying to make up for lost time can be harmful. I would recommend you just continue doing the good work you were doing before the Thanksgiving Holiday. This means that your goal might be postponed a little, but that's better than possibly hurting yourself. So what if it doesn't happen until January or even February instead of December? It's not that far away.

PS: If you think February is a long time away, image having a terminal disease and being told you'll be dead by February. Would you then still think February is a long time away?

I did the same myself, as many of us do. Just don't let it take you off track. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Adding a little bit to your exercise routine or adding another wont hurt. Good Luck!

You answered your own question!

Yes, it will slow you down. Yes, the way to counteract it is by exercising more and cut back a bit more the next few days.

You should eat apples before meals and drink water then you won't be starving when you sit down atnd eat everything up....so eat some sapplales and drink the water for filler before you sit down at supper....then you wont be as hungry adnd wont eat as much as you normamlly would.
