I want to donate new Christmas toys for kids and I am looking for a GOOD, REPUTABLE place to donate them in the Bay Area (California). Thank you!

Toys for Tots is a nationwide toy drive every year. Also you could consider donating to your local Domestic Violence Agency, they are non-profit agencies and during the holiday season become overwhelmed with women and children. And most times leave with just the clothes on their backs. This would be a great place to consider. The National hot line number is (1-800-779-7233) or (1-800-779-SAFE) and if you contact them they can give you the number to the local agency in your area. Good luck and God bless****

Look around your local businesses for donation boxes set out by the Marine Corps Reserve. The boxes will say Toys for Tots. Place NEW toys, in their original, unopened packages, in the Toys for Tots bin. The Marine Corps Reserve - assisted by local detachments of the Marine Corps League - will take those toys to children who need them and both will thank you.

Toys for Tots ! U.S. Marine corps ! before I had kids I would take my x-mas bonus, go out and get some "Killer Chronic Pot", Ingest large amounts of it quickly, then go running through the toy store like a little kid grabbing as many toys as I could and filling up the cart, I would then go and drop it off at the U.S. Marine office here, Am I A BAD DRUGGED OUT CRAZY PERSON ? or just a little Christmas angel gone astray ? Either way there were toys under a Christmas tree for a child because of me, THATS ALL THAT COUNTS !

Toys for Tots has bins everywhere and I know the one at Saturn of Concord is being watched like a hawk (one of the guys there is a volunteer firefighter. You can also drop off new toys at any firehouse.
Also, my church, Clayton Community helps with the angel tree foundation which benefits children of incarcerated parents.
Good luck and God bless you for helping out!

Try :Toys for Tots
That is a good one, and you should be able to get the # from your local Better Business Bureau.
Also, we donate on Amazon.com every year. Just go on their site, add any toy to your shopping cart, specify the area you want it to go to, and they take care of the rest. They are a trustable company (my bro works for them) & they also donate tons of toys from their company.

Check and see if the Marine Corps does the "toys for tots" thing out there. All you'd have to do is call the local Marine Corps recruiter. If not, try the fire department.

Toys for tots is everywhere, also consider church programs and your local community action council or united way. There are good programs that match families in need with sponsors that "adopt" them for the holidays. (we do this) Also consider area shelters, children's hopsitals and/or ronal mcdonald houses. Another possibility is to contact the local county service/social worker dept. to see if county run emergency respite care facilities (or the programs that run supervised visitation) need new toys.

Toys for Tots, the one that's run by Hells Angels.
They may look a bit "rough", but they are really nice guys.

"Toys for Tots" is actually run by the Marine Corps.
A very well run organization.
