Cook it at a temperature of 350 degrees at 15 minutes for each pound of weight. That would be 15 minutes times 12 pounds which equals 180 minutes. 180 minutes divided by 60 would equal 3 hours. I would start checking it for doneness after 2 and 1/2 hours because the temperature on the oven might be higher (or lower) that an actual 350 degrees. I hope this info helped.

I did my 21 pound turkey in a roaster and it says on the side that the temp should be 325. I put my turkey on around 10 am and it was done at 230 so for a 12 pound turkey I would check it after 2 hours.

Take your turkey and rinse in off, inside and out. Make sure you take the "innards" out of the turkey. Pat dry .Salt and pepper the insides and take a stick of butter and rub the outside of the bird, then salt and pepper the outside. Pour a little oil over the bird and stick him in a pre-heated 350 degree oven. Forget the bag !! Tear of some aluminum foil and make a "tent" to cover the bird for a while. Cook according to instructions. The last hour, take the "tent" off and turn the oven up to 400 degrees to let the bird get brown. Keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn.
