My Chrismas display at work requires about 8 sets of lights and I was just going to attach them all together. my co-worker says I can't do that. But I WANT TO!!

just check the amperage of your power outlet
if your amperage or "amp" of your wall outlet for instance is 25 amps and each sting of lights is 5 amps you can use 5 strings without blowing the circuit but thats cuttin it close
dont confuse amps with volts which in north america is set to between 110-120 volts look at the amps

It they are modern small bulbs, OK. In the old days the high wattage bulbs would cause fires. The modern bulbs are almost nothing and are meant to daisy chain together.

I would suggest you buy the GE commercial grade lights from Wal-Mart. They cost a bit more, $7.94 for a string of 200, but you can hook six strings together instead of just three. Plus, they last for about four years.
