I am 20 and this girl that I have been seeing for about 3 months is 27, with a 7 year old kid. I have recently decided to take a break, more than likely end things because I feel that I do not need to be tied down and attached to her because I am currently in school and young. I want to see other people but at the same time I like this girl so much that its hard for me to picture myself with other people or her with anyone else.

She happens to work with me at my job and its going to be vary hard to deal with. I was wondering if you guys thought that I should enjoy my early 20's or make her my girlfriend? I am so confused. I don't want to miss out on my college life, being crazy and what not, but at the same time I don't want to miss out on seeing her. Thanks- Andy

If you were older I'd say be with the girl, do the dew and be ur brothers keeper. You're young and have a bright future, that has value. Sorry for being rash, but single moms w/ kids represent bad choice after bad choice, no two ways about it. It's very risk'e taking on a woman who could not see through a relationship with the father of her child. She is definitely scrutinizing you in her mind if ur father material, is she going to be a good partner? Help make the right choices for a sucessful future? Or do you just have a fire in ur pants?

Enjoy your college years. You don't need to be tied down now and you have only been seeing her for 3 months. If it is meant to be it will work out. My son and his girlfriend broke up when they were teenagers and got back together years later and have now been married for 5 years and are happy. They are in their 30's now. They were apart almost ten years when they got back together. So start enjoying being young and on your own before getting tied down.

You are doing the right thing. You have had a fling with an older woman, great. You've seen what its like to have kids. Thats good, but your 20. Go play and enjoy yourself. You have plenty of time for a wife and kids. While your young and free enjoy it. Thats OK .

You're only young once. If you stay with this woman feeling as you feel, you will be full of regrets and end up resenting and maybe even hating her. For your own good as well as hers in the long run, you should dump her and enjoy your youth while you can. If it is meant for you two to be together, you will be together--but just not right now.

It's a really tough call, but you sound like you're not ready to take on the responsibilities of a step father. Don't tie yourself down now if you think later you might regret what you missed out on.

Go out with her man. Don't let the age factor scare ya. I mean, we're omly talking 7 yrs and it's not like she's robbing the cradle either. I think I speak for all when I say,"great sex is safe sex". You probably know who she's slept with before you, and she'll probably tell you, where as if she were single with no child it's likely she would've gotten around, if ya know what I mean!!!! Besides, she has a child who probably needs a good daddy anyway, so go for it.

the fact that you said "enjoy my 20's or make her my girlfriend" tells me you should leave her.

of course you should enjoy your 20's really you should enjoy your whole life. and find someone to enjoy it with.
the key to life is to enjoy it.
