No, it's not true. You can get pregnant if you ovulate the next month. I got pregnant shortly after a miscarriage.

I've known two people that had miscarriages and got pregnant the very next month. I wouldn't suggest it. Your body and hormones are going through major flip-flops.

There is a 24 - 48 hour window each month during ovulation when you can get pregnant. If you ovulated - you can get pregnant. Plain and simple. I suggest using some protection unless pregnancy is your goal. But I would give it some time. That last bit is just my personal opinion.

God bless and good luck.

Your body needs to get over a miscarriage and because you were pregnant, you may not ovulate for some time, so, yes, in a way, you may not get pregnant in the next six weeks.
If you are planning to get pregnant, give your body some time to get over the mc(physically and emmotionally).
A miscarriage dosn't usually mean you can't conceive again but your body needs to re-adjust itself. It is not a machine. Ovulation may take a few weeks to return.
Good luck.

Not True..I know people that had babies and when they went for their 6 week check up they were already pregnant again. So if your not wanting to get pregnant don't believe that and use protection.

I have read that after a woman gets an abortion she can get pregnant 14 days later.

of course you can. even if it were true most of the time, there is always someone whose body doesn't follow a set timetable.

if you want to get pregnant, wait a few months. your body has just been thru a trauma--give it time to heal.

if you don't want to get pregnant--you should be using birth control so you wouldn't even have to ask that question.
