depends how serious your anxiety. Buspar works pretty well, but make sure they get dose high enough. Propanal works well in low doses but is for actual anxiety physical symptoms like fast heart rate, sweaty palms, etc. Got to make sure your blood pressure does not get to low. anti-depressents like zoloft help. Avoid Xanax- it can send you on a roller coaster up then down and is very addictive. Paxil works ok if you don't get side affects. Good luck!

First of all you have to go to the doctor and let him choose the med for you. Don't do it on your own as you might make it only worse. Side effects depend from person to person. Any medications like that are usually very strong and their chemicals mix with yours and as we are not all copies, we react differently to it. Somebody might have luck with one med but you don't have. It's really individual. You have speak to your doctor and then see which meds work for you with all its side effects.
But don't worry, it is curable...it takes time, but you can do it! :)

It sort of relies upon on why you're depressed. If something occurred on your existence that has led to it, i might first propose medical care, if that doesn't help, then you certainly might desire the two. melancholy may be led to by an adventure or sequence of activities on your existence and then substitute into an imbalance, wherein case you will possibly desire somebody to help you in the process the form and medicines to get your serotonin stages returned in verify. In those situations medicine is probable momentary. i became into clinically determined with melancholy too, besides the undeniable fact that no longer something occurred in my existence to reason it, I basically constantly felt the way I did, from the time i could bear in mind. i became into in medical care, and my therapist advised me it became right into a chemical imbalance (I had no longer something to speak approximately to my therapist, it became into basically chit chat, no longer something became into bothering me), i became into then sent to a different psychiatrist to verify the diagnoses and became into advised returned, it became into an imbalance. i became into given medicine, and now I function regularly (if there is this manner of element), and that i'm no longer in medical care anymore. you may get to the muse of the difficulty, until you could now answer that query.

Zoloft....yes it helps. No anxiety attacks for over 2 years.
side effects....nightmares... but compared to a anxiety attack the nightmares are trivial.

Paxil works well for me but your Dr. may have to experiment a while to determine your need. Not all meds work the same way on all people.

i have sever anxiety for the longest time i tried to handle it with counslers and myself then i went to a shrink and he made me understand that if my leg was broke i would let them put it in a cast ... so then he explained that the medician for my anxiety was like a cast for my nerves... so i take 1 mg of ativan.. and now i function and am learning to do it with out the meds... so talk to a trained doctor in that field .. let him help you ... decided what is best for you with you making an informed decision... there are ways to deal and cope with anxiety with out meds.. but you have to pick the first step for you .... what makes your life work ...

IT IS PROBABLY BEST TO TRY AND FIND OUT WHAT THE CAUSE OF THE
ANXIETY IS. THEN WALK 30 MINUTES A DAY AND THINK ABOUT IT THE ENTIRE WALK AND YOU WILL SEE AT THE END OF A FEW WEEKS YOU MAY BE THINKING ABOUT IT FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES OF THE 30 MINUTE WALK. BUT KEEP WALKING 6 OR 7 DAYS A WEEK
