Ouch - that's a really tough question.
In general, men will say anything to 'get some'... but if you've been involved for a year then he might actually mean it.
It really depends on how he acts after saying he loves you. If he starts pushing for sex - then its a game to get into your panties.
If he behaves the same way, but more romantically - then he may mean it.
If you reciprocate to his more romantic behavior, but don't go all the way and he's cool about it - he probably mean it...

Ask yourself this question: Does he respect you? Is most of your time spent just talking about sex? Or do you guys spend your time having fun? If he makes you feel sure of yourself when you are with him and he doesn't do anything that make you feel violated, then yes, the I Love You he is saying is straight. But if he is spittin' out I love you in the heat of passion, then honey step. There is plenty of fish in the sea. You sound pretty young, so take the advice of your elder, enjoy life, protect yourself, and trust me, when you least expect it, love will find you.

depends on how long you've been dating, or if you're dating at all. If it's farely new and he's sayign that, he might not have the best intentions, but if its more that a month into the relationship, he prob and ok guy. And if you a really, really recent, then it could be he secretly loved you fro awhile.

He might be trying to get some. You should be able to tell if he is being genuine. Just wait a bit longer, if he really does love you he should not be pressuring you and will wait until YOU are ready!

Listen, if you beleive, in your heart, that you really love him then you should tell him. I told my last g/f that i loved her and she told me that LOVE is something you only have when your married... it never seemed to bother her before someone, her ex- b/f, told her i was only into her for her looks and her body, not true, and it also depends on weither you think he really does want to get some or if he loves u.If u have any questions IM me ok. just to talk!

I would mean it if I said it, but some guys are horn dogs. You never know. You must use your best judgment. I suggest you wait until marriage to have sex though. God bless you and good luck with your dilemma.

it depends what kind of guy he is... I wouldnt think so though... its usually the opposite... guys that say it sooner makes you mean it more.. and im a guy... most of the girls i liked the most i've told them that too early (which is not good because girls think love is something that takes time... but for guys its the opposite)

does he say "i love you" while he's trying to get some, or does he say it out of the blue, like on the phone or while your at the store. True love is out there, you just have to take the chance.
