I am asking this questions for my friend. She has been dating this great guy for 2 yrs and she is madly inlove with him. She is 20 and he is 25. But she is so afraid if she brings up kids and marriage he will run. She is not even sure he wants kids at all. But she is dead set on having 3/4. Is it too soon in the relationship too talk about kids and marriage?

if they have been serious for 2 years, then yes, it certainly is time for her to speak her mind and ask his thoughts regarding marriage and kids..

it's good to get the issue on the table. might as well get the issue out there now..

if this guy has no interest in marriage and/or kids, then it's probably best for your friend to learn this now..

why spend more time with a guy that isn't compatible to her needs?

Yes of course it's def. too soon for the girl to be talking about marriage, but I feel since the guy is 25 years of age, he shouldn't be afraid of marriage or children. But i think the girl is too yong to be think of marriage and children, I say wiat another couple of years, this way the girl will be sure of what she wants and the guy will def. know what he wants by then.

this is the point in a relationship where this needs to be discussed. If they are not on the same level when it comes to marriage and family, they need to call it quits. Many relationships fall apart after a marriage when people find they don't have the same ideas/plans/values. She needs to suck it up and have a deep conversation with him.

2 years iin a relationship s enough..... But it also depends on if the guy is well settled in a job to afford having kids.
