Too much alcohol and the ralaxing heat of an hot tub can make you pass out, and if you do that you will drown if you are the only one in it at the time. Be careful but have fun!!

I think it's a question of body temperature, as I've heard that you shouldn't drink even a *little* and go into a hot tub, so that wouldn't be a concern about drunkenness.

I actually think that hot tubs dry you out and raise your body temp, which dehydrates you. Alcohol dehydrates you as well. In my experience, drinking in a hot tub makes me want to drink lots of water. If you don't drink water, prepare for a hangover that you wouldn't believe! I did it once, and I was so sick I thought I would die.
