I seen this on "Forensic Files." I didn't get all the details. A husband killed his wife-made it look like it was because she had drank alcohol and was in a hot tub, but he had done something else. But that's when the narrarator said you shouldn't drink and be in a hot tub. I ask because I'm going to a party next Tuesday where there will be alcohol and my friend does have a hot tub. Is it because if you get drunk you may drown? Or does it have something to do with body temperature? Any info would help. Thanks!

Too much alcohol and the ralaxing heat of an hot tub can make you pass out, and if you do that you will drown if you are the only one in it at the time. Be careful but have fun!!

I think it's a question of body temperature, as I've heard that you shouldn't drink even a *little* and go into a hot tub, so that wouldn't be a concern about drunkenness.

I actually think that hot tubs dry you out and raise your body temp, which dehydrates you. Alcohol dehydrates you as well. In my experience, drinking in a hot tub makes me want to drink lots of water. If you don't drink water, prepare for a hangover that you wouldn't believe! I did it once, and I was so sick I thought I would die.

First off, the alcohol thins your blood severely, Secondly the temprature will make your heart beat begin to rise. Which can uin turn make you have a heart attack.

I guess if you got drunk you could drown, and it makes your blood pressure go up also
