When I itch my scalp, thick, yellow chunks come off and I KNOW it's not dandruff. They have a thick musty odor and I've been saving them because I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP!

It may be something harder to treat than dandruff. Oily skin or scalp can be a big problem so you should probably talk to a dermatologist or some people try different medicated shampoos for different problem hair types just to see if it helps. The coal tar formulas usually clear that up if used regularly but check with doctor.

You have psoriasis. Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition. Don't worry. You can get either get some medication in a drug store or u can go to a dermatologist. Also, it's good to keep on changing shapoos once in aa while.

I had this skin condition too, it wasn't anything serious I just used some medication that my dermatologist recommended.

Well...I don't know about the other things but I know how to deal with frizzy hair. I don't straighten or dye my hair and wash it every day using shampoo and conditioner, usually pantene pro v. I then Towel Dry it a bit and comb my hair out. I then towel dry it some more the comb it out again and then I spray some hair spray all over. Mind you I don't put oodles of spray on. Then I comb it out again. Then I put some hair gell in it using my plams distributing it evenly (put some in it rub hands together and run them through your hair). Then I comb my hair out again making sure that the top layer of my hair has some gell on it all over. and depending on the style i wish today I let it down or I let it dry a little and put it into a ponytail. P.S Washing your hair does not dry it out just make sure to use conditioner. Blow drying your hair does not do anything for split ends either.

might be a yeast infection of your scalp, or some other skin affliction..
You need to see a doctor and keep washing your hair regularly..
Dont use any harsh styling products in the mean time till you know what the doctor says..

Get a shampoo with tar in it, no kidding, there are several, I can't remember the name of the really good one, but my ex boyfriend had the same thing, it was really bad, and he used the shampoo ONCE and it was completely gone. It was like a miracle. Oh, yeah, I think it was T-gel. Try it.

Psoriasis can be caused by a yeast infestation (candida albicans fungus). It sounds worse than it is. Selsun Blue has selenium in it, from what I was told, and supposedly selenium helps control yeast.

www.hufa.org has a "yeast" link, that can give you more info on candida albicans.
