I met this guy at my school (college). He's 28 and I'm 18. He, unfortunately for himself is immensly interested in having a romantic relationship with me. While the notion is somewhat flattering, I let him know plain and striaght, on no uncertain terms, that I am not (and will not ever be) considering a relationship of that form with him. I emailed him and told him "strictly platonic". Since then, he's emailed me back, and telling me things like how "physically tantalizing" I am, and how I'm a "beautiful brown princess"--and those are among other things. He seems awfully posessive. The only thing I owe him is the book I borrowed from him the other week, but he won'y lay off, should I be worried? I already am, but I don' know what else to tell him, since I've already told him 3 or 4 times I don't want any romantic relationship with him. What would you do?

Sure sounds like stalker material to me. Just stop seeing him/returning his calls and eventually he lose interest.

I'd send the book back to him and break off all contact, avoid him, don't take his phone calls, answer his emails or show any interest in him at all. If that doesn't do it then maybe he's a stalker and you should report him.

When a person is infatuated with you the only thing to do is to stop contact all together. If he continues, talk to the security office at you college and if that doesn't stop it talk to the police. If all else fails, go to a lawyer.
Don't delay. All you do by inaction is encourage him.

ok first you need to let the school know then your mom and dad then the local law enforcement then like the other girl said get a order of abuses it is better than a restrain order

Yes you should be. He is going way over the line and you need to cut off all contact with him. If he doesn't leave you alone report him to the school and they can kick him out.

He likes you as a woman - which is unfortunate, since you obviously don't like him the same way. Yes, he might very well end up stalking you. You might want to be careful!

If you feel threatened, I'd get a restraining order. With the ten-year age difference, I certainly would.

it scares me that he's a 28 year old and you're 18 .......... he should know better.......... maybe the age difference doesn't bother him but it kinda should ............ i would give him the book back and try not to speak to him as much.....see what happens .... if he really pushes the issue i'd tell someone at the school.........i would also recommend telling your friends.....they might have a better suggestion.................

BE VERY ALERT AND CAUTIOUS. IF YOU FEEL UNEASY ABOUT HIM, YOU SHOULD LET THE PEOPLE YOU KNOW, KNOW ABOUT IT SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE PEOPLE WATCHING OUT FOR YOU TOO. I DON'T WANT TO MAKE YOU PANIC, I HOPE I'M NOT. I JUST DON'T WANT YOU TO TAKE ANY CHANCES WITH GUYS WHO WONT ACCEPT YOUR ANSWER "NO". AND DON'T LET ANYONE SAY YOUR OVER REACTING IF YOU CHOOSE TO TAKE FURTHER ACTION WHERE YOUR SAFETY IS CONCERNED.

yes, there are warning signs all over his behavior..

give him back his book, tell him you don't wish to continue communicating any further.. ask him to leave you alone.. and call the police if he continues to stalk you.
