you need to inform your company that is thier responsibility to provide workers compensation. And that it would be a shame to have to get a lawyer to make sure they do. Meanwhile, definetely go to the chiropractor. I will always believe my chiropractor saved my life. P. S. I don't think medicare deals with chiropractors, do they? I bet that is why you are having so much trouble with medicare. I always thought they just dealt with doctors. Here's some good info: Doctors know how to get insurance companies to pay, but I doubt chiropractors do since not many insurance policies cover chiropractic. However, you might see a doctor just something to present to medicare, just so they will notice!

Historically it is easier now with WC to collect benefits than it was before there was WC programs. And work places are safer as well.

Now to your problem. The company has to report the claim to the insurance company. If your former company is self insure it sounds like they may have denied your claim. If that is the case, you will need to talk to your state agency that handles WC or an attorney.

As for the Medicare issue, that sounds false. Medicare has specific exclusions regarding WC. You will be either covered by WC, or covered by Medicare, but never both. Again this sounds like a matter for a call to the appropriate agency or discuss with counsel.

Wow, the people at the bread company refused to file the claim? I'd call your state department of labor, and an attorney.

basically, the insurance companies (and sounds likeyour former job too) are complete jerks, and they do whatever the hell they can to avoid paying. That's been my experience. All I can say is fight like hell to get it. Good luck!
