First off, don't drag on a bad situation, it can and will get worse. If he really does care about you there is no way to end it without hurting him a little. Just try to end it gently. Something along the lines of, "I'm not ready for a relationship at the moment, I think we'd both be better off taking a step back and see where it takes us."
Secondly, you need to really think about why you said "yes" to a guy you never liked. Were you lonely? Scared? After you figure out why and how you feel try thinking about what you want in a man. Usually if a guy doesn't possess certain features that you really like and want in a man, you really need to get to know that person very well so your able to look past those "imperfections".
Hope this advice helps, good luck and God bless.

Look its better that you do it soon, and life moves on for both you and him. I ve been in your situation, its sucks but over the phone it works well. Since you've already been avoiding him for a week anyways he cant be that dependent on you right. So call him up and tell him you've thought about the situation your in (relationship wise) and you just are not ready to be in that situation. You need to be with your friends and focusing on other things like school or make something up. He will understand and leach onto o someone else when you least expect it.

If hes really into you and your not feeling back probably the only thing you could without hurting him is just keep adding the distance bewteen you and him (which could take maybe 2 or 3 more weeks) and then it will be much easier for him

This is no big deal. You don't sound like you've been with him that long and it doesn't look like it was serious either. Dependancy is not a reason for a relationship. There's many other important factors to consider. One is whether you care for him or not and you don't. So be honest and just tell him.........

I think it is inevitable that the person would get hurt if u're dumping him.... but that doesn't mean you should out it off. In fact, the sooner you face up to him and beak it to him, the better for you!
