So I want to make it look nice with paint. I am not going to replace anything. I might paint the cabinets white, add some shelves in. What do you suggest? The counter tops only have a hint of pink, they are actually sort of dark. Oh yes, the reason why I am considering pink is I have stainless steel accessories in there!

pick a pink that is leaning more toward a taupe or beige. that way, the color will not look dated and u still have pink. pink adds romance to a room. if u like pink try adding it with a pink floral arrangement or pin/glue some pink butterflies, buttons, ornaments etc. on your curtains. white cabinets are awesome, clean, always in!!

A hint of pink colour might be nice. This will brighten up the walls in contrast to your darkish counter tops. Too much pink and it will date quickly.

consider a range of colors that include pink. Pink is a color that dates kitchens but is considered retro which is fine. I would also think in terms of wines, burgundys and deep blues and greens with bright pink. A really neat trick is to go find wallpaper BORDERS or wall decorations and go with the color scheme in there.

Pink is a tough color. To light and it doesn't work, too dark and it looks like Pepto Bismal. We painted our house desert rose one time, about 2 months later it was titty pink. Had to change color.
