I can't think of any reason why one would continually want to douch unless you are using it as a form of birth control.
In which case I would'nt, I was told that the continual use of a douch for this purpose, attributed to my mother's cancer of the womb.
However, if this is not the reason for your use of same, I would suggest you seriously look at the reason you are using the douch so much, it really isn't normal.

I don't know about the fertility issue, but every doctor I've ever had has said that douching does more harm than good. You have good bacteria and bad bacteria in your body - douching whacks the balance out. Besides, your body is designed to clean itself from the inside out, so what's the point?

douching can actually wash away the good bacteria in the genital area that helps keep things balanced down there and bring on a yeast infection. i've not heard it affecting fertility but you should never douche, the doctors i work recommend against it.

Yes douching is bad for your body. I asked the doctor what if I use douche. She told me to stop using it because it can lead to cervical cancer. As we all know as of write now there is no cure for cervical cancer. So I have never used it. The doctor said soap and water is just as affective and it wont cause any harm to your body. Well hope this helps you.

My OB/GYN told me that it is harmful, it messes up the body's natural PH balance and bacteria levels. He said that one of the main purposes of us having a menstrual cycle is to flush us out. As to the fertility aspect, I didn't ask him about that, it may be possible, but I'd ask your doctor about it.

Yes, it can. There is good bacteria as well as bad. If you douch you risk killing off the good bacteria, thus laying yourself open to infections.

Yes it can. Introducing any foreign objects into your body can introduce harmful bacteria or viruses, including those that cause cancer.

there is a delicate pH balance inside....and it can be compromised....just like we have tonsils and lymph nodes to help protect us from foreign invaders...I don;t know if it affects fertility, I doubt it, but may cause irritation to varying degrees.....

No. Most of it is saline which eliminates any bacterial it may have.
