Hispanic gangs make up a sizable portion of our prisons.........?

According to MSNBC these gangs are also the most well organized and competent of all the prison gangs, they accept members regardless of "previous gang affiliation" they must meet little criteria.........(for those of you who don't get that.......that means that "warring gangs" don't fight in this circle). While I don't "condone" any of this behavior.......I am curious where they got that discipline. According to all of "YOU" Hispanics are unable to speak English, keep up homes and control their impulses.

This is a DRASTIC comparison BUT I am curious to see what you people think?

Sometimes "street smarts" make MORE SENSE then book learning and could pave a road for Mexico.........given a good political candidate who understands that. Your thoughts?

hey there are a alot of hispanics who speak english hold homes and control their impulses. yes streetmart is actually better than booksmart. and iron man....not al gang members who are in prison are illegal you dumbass so shut up, or read the newspaper or watch the news or educate yourself please for the lvoe of god do that.

I took a criminal psych class a few semesters ago. Was pretty interesting. The teacher was a former probation officer of the city of Greeley, CO.

Colorado used to send all their juvies to Nevada, so did California and Arizona. Greeley has eight gangs. When they were being sent to Nevada, they were seriously picked on by the California, Nevada and Arizona gangs. One day, all eight gangs tied rags...joined forces. A few months later, Nevada corrections called up Colorado and told us that we have ONE year to get our gangs out of Nevada. Basically, they had seriously intimidated all of the other juvies in Nevada.

Now a days, Denver sends their fresh gang members to Greeley for training. Pretty scary, Huh?

It reallt depends where you are at in the USA like Cal,tx they are prison gangs these gang members are street smart an do not care for your life or any bodys even there owen they kill rape deal drugs on the inside,where they learn this the same place whites blacks do most from broken homes no fatherly figure an most growed up on the streets with hard core gangs,i hope this helps you

Here's an idea. Are we a nation of laws? Or a nation of "Street Smarts"? Come back to us with an update when you can figure that out. In the meantime, felons of ANY race can rot in prison.

That's a very poor analogy in making your point.....Why don't you mention all the Hispanics who have accomplished good things and have contributed to our society, through disciple and strong work ethic? I feel the strong need for gangs with Hispanics come from the need to belong in a family unit or structure, if they don't have a strong family unit, they resort to gangs....Its a need to belong to a family....
