I never see just Mexicans there other people from all walks of life's are working there. So stop telling me how honest they are. They still make the backbone of a lot of the society. Yes, americans did do that work, but now they're too lazy to do it, or they don't want clueless teens doing the job. Who the hell will work as janitors, I see mainly hispanic people doing the job, not many others take th job. Why? Because they think they're too good for it and the salary is crap. Of course our economy won't come to a halt if all the illegals were suddenly deported! This is a fallacy generated by the pro-illegals who are grasping at straws to try to justify illegal immigration

Most pro-illegals have selfish reasons and something to gain from illegal immigration such as they enjoy taking advantage of them by using them for slave labor or they are in romantic relationships with illegal immigrants or are related to illegals (parent, child, cousin, aunt, uncle, etc.).

As for the person who answered here saying that we gain from illegal immigrants using fraudulent SSNs because of the social security premiums that are deducted from their fraudulent paychecks, give me a break! When the illegal immigrants are deported, legal citizens and legal immigrants will do those jobs at legal rates of pay and social security premiums will be coming LEGALLY out of their paychecks to go into the general social security pot and this would work out to be FAR MORE $ going into that pot than presently because the bulk of illegal immigrants work under the table for cash, in which case NOTHING is coming off their paychecks and the only persons benefiting are the illegals and the employers who are pocketing the profits - not passing on the savings to the consumers!

Therefore, there goes the other common lament on here that "the cost of our produce will go sky high without illegal immigrants picking our crops." Give me a break! The employers do NOT pass on the savings to the consumer! The employers POCKET the savings they have made off the slave labor of the illegal immigrants! Our produce prices will NOT go up significantly! The small amount prices may go up will be easily affordable by the fact that far more legal residents will be working and so able to afford the prices. As some say here, I would far prefer to pay more for my produce than pay billions of dollars to support illegal immigrants via my taxes and their use of all of our social benefits.

Deport ALL illegal immigrants and let's test this theory!

I do not know why people say that. I can't imagine by what logic the conclusion is arrived at. I live in Phoenix, and even here it would create no problems at all. The latest statistics show that every Arizona family pays $1,700 per year for illegals. I think that if we all had that money back, the economy would be stronger.

It won't.....it's just a myth. There's plenty of people out there looking for work. The unemployment figures the gov. gives isn't an accurate picture of the real number of people looking for work. We have thousands showing up for a few minimum wage jobs. Young, old and every color. There's no shortage of citizens to do the work.

Because they are stupid. some people are also saying who is gonna pick the fruit? we will but not at the ridiculous wages they pay those people. I know what some will say--Oh the price of fruit will skyrocket then. You know I would rather pay outrageous prices for fruit and veggies than have a country full of illegals, and often criminals.

Look the reason America will come to a halt is because the economy will be destroyed. Epspecially because of social security. Do you realize when they use those fake documents people senior citizens get money for those documents and the hispanics who use them cant because there fake.
