I admire your transparency. The closer you draw to God, the more your flesh dies. This is something that everyone struggles with, but few will openly admit and talk about. Pray, spend time with God. Remove anything that may become a temptation to you. When you're especially struggling confess to another christian and pray about it. The enemy will flee when exposed. Hope this helps.

If you are not in a valid marriage, you cannot have sexual relations... by doing that, you commit the sin called fornication. If the other person is married, then you add on the sin of adultery.

The only way you can deal with lust is through the Grace of God.

First, confess all your sins and then pray for the Grace to resist the temptations.

As for the music... that will contribute to your problem. Take a "music fast".. stop listening to secular music for a couple of weeks. Instead spend time in prayer during the time you would have spent listening to music. If in your car, get the Bible on CD and listen to that instead.

Pray the Gospel... we Catholics call that the Rosary.

I think you might have answered you're own question. Well, you know how to get something to grow, feed it. Especially in the case of the spirit, as you said, spending time in the word and prayer.

So, you get something go away some by not feeding it. Which is just the opposite way around, you know, by not looking at things and listening to things that draw you're attention to it.

Are you really so drawn to sex as you think you are? Or have you been led to think so, for other people's gain, but you're loss.

"What you resist persists." That doesn't mean going toward it, it just means forget about it alittle, cause' tryin' to hard can cause' the opposite reaction. That just reinforces it as a problem, which it might not be except for dwelling on it to much.

Accept that it is normal to have those feelings. Then, it could be wise to bide you're time and wait for the right situation for you, the right one, etc.

It can be well worth the wait, and you will begin to feel yourself treated with more respect, cause it shows you respect yourself.
I am not saying you don't now, but it willl show, and that will be better for you.

In order for you to walk in the Spirit you must first listen to the Spirit.Have you ever observed a team of new recruits marching as the Sargent gave out orders.Their out of step, and going in different directions. That's because their not used to listening to what the Sargent says. But as they learn to listen and obey, they also learn to march in complete unison. It works the same way with Christians,as they learn to listen to the Spirit of God speak to them, and obey His voice, they also learn to walk in the Spirit as instructed, and not fulfill the lust of the flesh.I couldn't help but look at your home page. It,and this question don't seem to agree with one another.I would really like to encourage you little sister to take another look at Calvary.Make your calling and election sure or you will always be struggling with the things of the world.I will be praying for you and hope you find the peace that passes all our understanding.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (21st Century King James Version)

18Flee fornication. Every other sin which a man doeth is outside the body, but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you and which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own?
20For ye are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

Hebrews 13:4 (21st Century King James Version)

4Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Feeding your Spirit will give you the strength to avoid the desires of the flesh. However, you must also avoid situations that put you into a position of wanting to sin.

All of us deal with our own sinful nature in one way or another, but seeking assistance from God is the only way to truly overcome it.

It's all about "balance". You cannot "fight" that which is inherit to you. Otherwise, you encounter the law of reverse action. (The more you try to fight it, the more it overpowers you.). Nothing is unclean in and of itself ... it's only if you become obsessed with it, does it become a "problem". Keep everything in balance and you are ahead of the game. Enjoying sex is not a sin. Only becoming obsessed with it creates a problem.

Well, Paul said it is a daily struggle as long as you are human. We must put flesh to death every day. Only way i have ever accomplished this was when I was "out of my mind" and into my spirit where I belong.

Also remember your humanity...when you fail, repent and go forward...guilt is not Godly

Blessings

Why do you want to stop it? Your human body was created to function that way... the trick here is ... how NOT to be EXCESSIVE in them, till it turns from function to abuse...

Whats the difference between desire for sex, or the desire for food, desire for money, desire for comforts? All the same... what makes it negative is when it becomes excessive and starts being harmful to the Body, Mind and Spirit.

well the one big thing is just let the sex come to you, you don't really need to spend alot of time in church just pray when you go to bed that is what i do! If you stress alot then just sit down and don't get caught up in the drama!!!!Maybe spend sometime doing some thing you love to do!!!(sex isn't one of them because it stress people out and that is one thing you should not do)
