Wear exactly what you want, and don't care about what anyone else says. Even those who say not to draw attention away from the bride are being too strict. Just wear a saree that you would wear to any Indian wedding as well. Who cares if it draws attention away from a western bride, it's your culture. You don't have to change it for anyone.
Anyway, as she's the bride, she should get the attention regardless.

Absolutely. You will be the start in the event. I just attended a western wedding where I saw an Indian mother with Two of her teenage daughters all dressed in beautiful silk sarees. They were the main subject at the wedding. Go for it.

if it particularly is an Indian wedding ceremony or no longer - positioned on your "superb" even though that is. i've got had the privilege of being in view of distinctive ethnic weddings and that i could permit you realize -- the Indian saree's are outstanding - rivaled with the classic center eastern clothing yet.... outstanding - the stitch artwork, the colors, the way the cloth flows..... merely be careful you do no longer upstage the bride : ) get excitement from!

As long as it isn't too flashy and doesn't draw attention from the bride. You want to look nice to be respectful, but if it is to get attention, then don't. It will just be resented by the bride if you draw attention from her.
