to fall in love and have your heart broken is hard but can be dealt with. But imagine going your entire life without knowing how much a better life you could of had. Having your heart broken once doesn't mean it will happen. You jus have to wait until you meet the right person. You shouldn't just assume the first person is the right person you have to give it time.
go your entire life neglecting it and you are negelcting the pleasure of being a parent or even a grandparent. And affecting your parents by not giving them grandchildren.

I know there are a lot of people who think it's better to have loved & lost than never to have loved at all, but I would far rather never have had to go through the agony of getting my heart broken. It sux - big time. You have to take chances tho, & the pain of heartbreak is a big part of growing, maturity, wisdom. It's also unavoidable. Live & learn -
I would choose never to have had my heart broken.

I have often asked myself the same question. I truly believe that it is better to fall in love and have your heart broken, which might not happen. If you put up wall and don't allow anyone to get close to you, you may miss out on something very special. Life has ups and downs and love is one of them.

From what I know I think it's better to have loved someone then to never have taken the chance bcs you would have never known what good could come from it. Even you do get your heart broken you should be happy you actally loved someone & learn from that for you next love!

Falling in love and having your heart broken definitely. Because you can learn from people that you let into your life but you can't learn anything by shutting everyone out.

From a very experienced person in this regard...100% better to fall in love and have that person break your heart then to never fall in love again. In fact, I highly recommend people to fall in love several times before they find the right person. Even though ti hurts (trust me I know) it will allow you to know yourself better and really allows you to avoid certain people or actions in the future. Anyhow, after several difficult breakups etc, I recently married the most wonderful person in the world. And those past relationships really taught me allot!

to fall in love, there is no other feeling in the world like being in love, your heart beats differently, you look at the world in a whole new light. And the pain of losing that love. you need to feel it to really live. Never getting a chance.

GREAT QUESTION!
Never giving someone a chance to love you is NOT LIVING AT ALL!
Falling in love is so amazing!
"But the pain of unrequited love is a curse. But it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all is worse."
~This is from some famous poem, but of course i don't have it exactly right so it sounds a little choppy~
