asked a portuguese guy to write down something in portuguese for me and he wouldn't tell me what it was in english, the spelling might be a bit off, and I think this is of an explicit nature, given I can't find some of these words in the online translators.

não me choteis mas eu gosto muito de ti eu quero fazer beijinhos com figo

I spelt this wrong it is supposed to be:

não me chateis mas eu gosto muito de ti eu quero fozer beijiuhos com tigo

It should be portuguese, the guy is from Lisbon.

I think meant to say 'nao me chateies (?) mas eu gosto muito de ti eu quero fazer beijinhos contigo.'

The first bit is dodgy. Me Chateias is you bother/upset me, chateies is 'dont bother/upset me' (so which ever makes more sense in the context of the rest of what he wrote, and then....

...but I really like you and want to kiss you.

Somebody lurrrrrrves you!

mmm... are you sure that's portuguese?

'mas eu gosto muito de ti' means 'but I really like you'
'eu quero fazer beijinhos com figo' would be 'I want to make kisses with figs'

I have never heard the word choteis though.

I think you are correct about this being somewhat explicit or off-color. I learned my Portuguese in Brazil and the two "mystery" words - choteis and beiiinhos - may be part of the local slang of your male friend. I couldn't find either word in any spelling configuration in any Portuguese to English dictionary that I have.

If you are female and this guy led you to believe this sentence may be somewhat flirty or in appropriate, I'll bet it is something like "Don't (play) with me - or - (lead me on) because I really like you and want to (become more intimate) with you."

Just a guess.
