Don't be stupid. Why would you inflict capital punishment on a person if he or she is just trying to find a better way of life? What if the U.S. was a poor country and the only way American citizens could make a decent living was to go to other countries? Do you think every American would be willing to wait until he or she got official permission from another country's government to work there if he or she needed more money badly? These people are not harmning anyone and despite all the rhetoric of the anti-immigration folks, they are not stealing jobs from anyone. They are mostly doing jobs that no one else wants to do.
If someone is here illegally they should be sent back to their own country as soon as possible, but that is the only punishment they should receive. As it stands now, if an illegal immigrant is picked up in New Mexico or Texas , they have to spend between 6 weeks to a year in prison, or longer, in El Paso before they are sent back to their own country. How do I know? My wife is a Dutch citizen and had been in this country for over 4 years even though her visa only allowed her to stay here 3 months. She was picked up by the Border Patrol 1 week after we were married in New Mexico and eventually deported back to Holland where she is now waiting to interview with the U.S. embassy before she can return to the U.S. Fine. She overstayed her visa and got caught before we could get her reinstatement request completed - but she had to wait for 6 and a half weeks in a prison in El Paso before she got returned to Holland. People don't know just how uncompassionate the U.S. is to immigrants here and how severely they are punished for the crime of wanting to live in this country. For a number of reasons they cannot always become legal right away, and if they get caught, I agree they should be sent back where they came from to start over. But they should not have to wait in a prison for weeks or months on end and they do not deserve any other punishement than being deported. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Capital punishment is not too harsh for those getting it. It is a peaceful way to die. The one that it is too harsh for is the victim's family. The criminals go to sleep peacefully. The only problem with capital punishment is that they don't die in the same manner as their victim and that it is not publicized.

If we put up signs saying the use of deadly force is authorized to protect our borders and actually shot and killed a few illegals trying to sneak in, the word would spread fast and they would stop coming, or at least the tide would slow drastically. I'm all for it. 20 million illegals already living here should let everyone know that something drastic needs to happen because they are all laughing at us.

Not if they committed 1st degree murder, in America we only sentence 1st degree murderers and traitors to death.
If you come to America and commit 1st degree murder you should pay the same price as an American would have to.
So tired of everyone saying illegals should have more rights then citizens!

that depends as far as i have seen they are all felons and criminals there are many cases that illegals just get into a car and drive having had no knowledge of our laws ,rules of the road ,respect for it's people and just drive foreword usually crashing and sometimes injuring others as well as causing loss of life and property. then simply walk away because local law enforcement can't assist federal law enforcement unless they will get big time kudos's for a big sensational case!
whereas the common hardworking schmo that plays by the rules and PAYS taxes and PAYS for insurance, and LEGALLY obtains a drivers license, then has to visit his wife in the hospital and if she comes out of a comma tell her he buried their daughter. and oh honey the car is totaled and we wont be reimbursed because the ILLEGAL ALIEN that drove the car had no license nor insurance and we cant find him he changed his name again and works for the landscaper across town. i wonder why so Manny Americans hate illegals.

No, and since they're illegal, they shouldn't have the right to choose the way they die, like American criminal's do. We should just hang them by the neck until dead, it's fairly cheap, too. Those cowboy's on the range in our Southern states have plenty of rope. I'm sure they won't mind letting the executioner borrow some.

Of course it is. They do a lot of the work no one wants to do here.

But every time Mexico sends us some drug dealer or criminal we should fire a trailer full of inbred southern rednecks at them.. that'll show them.
