Well, I'm a mother and my son has never dated a girl (seriously) that is of the same race as him. And honestly, I could careless. As long as she treats him with respect, honest and kindness, she is fine with me. It's a person's attitide and behavior that matters. The degreee of melanin in your skin does not necessarily determin that .....

No different than if he/she brought home someone of the same race. Why should it be any different? Are you racist? I mean come on who cares what color someone is

I have 2 daughters that are dating Mexican men. I took the time to get to know them and I love and care for them both deeply. I believe that we are all the same that's how God made us. Take all of the races & turn their skin inside out & what do you have? Their all the same. Love & treat everyone the way you want to be treated.

I'd be a bit surprised at first, and wished he/she would've told me earlier, so that I can prepare myself better. But after that, I will accept the partner. I never liked people who are racist, and I will not start being one. Everyone are the same, it's just the skin color, so why not accept each other. We are all creations of God and we all live in the same planet, don't we?

I wouldn't mind at all. I think it would be pretty neat, because then it shows that I've done my job right, and all my child is seeing is a great person, not someone of a different race.

honestly, seeing as i am neither racist nor bigoted, i would have no problem and not judge the person in the least bit until i really got to know them. i don't have any kids - i'm way to young - but i've had boyfriends from many different races, and i've found someone's ethnicity in no way affects their character.

actually I would support them because you may never know if that same person can make them happy and treat them good you must never jugde a book by it's cover the person may even treat them better than someone from their own race we just have to respect their decision and trust that they know what they are doing and that they are making the right decision the only thing we can do is steer them in the right direction and let them take it from there

Depends on your parents? So people parents are cool and don't care as long as your happy. But other parents dont approve even though they know yous are happy together.

You both need to figure that out, you both know your parents.

Some parents can be crude and some my not like the idea but will just accept it if yous are happy.

No different. I would worry a little because of how difficult life can be for those who choose this kind of relationship. But if they are happy together that is all I care about.

same as for any other race

who the person is and how they get along matters far more than ethnicity

I would want them to date a nice person from any race.
