You are right that you need to see a neurologist, likely one with sleep medicine training and expertise.
Some Universities offer “resident clinics” and some town offer “community free clinic”.
Your problem can be very serious and you better addressed and treated very fast

Hi there, I also have a mitral valve leak AND have been diagnosed with a definite arrhythmia. It would be pretty obvious if you had an arrythmia: it often results in falling suddenly unconscious in the most embarrassing of situations. If your heartbeat is suddenly increasing and you feel faint but dont actually fall unconscious, and you are having intense thoughts of "I'm having a heart attack", you may be experiencing an anxiety attack, something which feels much worse than the name implies. In either case, doctors should be listening to you and checking you out if you feel something's wrong... and in the meantime, both cases are helped a lot by NOT having caffeine drinks in large quantities and by getting enough food and sleep. Also, legal party pills (if you get them in your country) can easily stimulate a heart problem too. Hope that helps a little

It definitely does sound neurological in origin. Almost like something is blocking or short circuiting the neuro responders. When it comes to your health, you have to put the money issues aside. You can go to a community health clinic or call your local board of health to see what doctors do reduced or charity work. Many doctors donate time to those who cannot pay. You can also go to a county or state hospital. I would not ignore this!

From what you've described - I would forget about the money and see a doctor.

I have a problem with progressive neuropathy (nerve damage) and I waited to long. Some of the damage is now permanent.

Don't make the mistake I did... I wanted to save the cash and have now paid the price. Its not worth it...

Trust me.
