Had a kid in boy scouts with me whom we took snipe hunting three times...and he never did figure out what was going on. In fact, he kept wanting to go again:
"Let's go snipe hunting again tonight...and I get to hold the sack again, all right? Only this time, let's REALLY try and catch some, OK? The last three times we went, y'all just snuck up on me and jumped out and scared the hell out of me. Don't do that this time...I think I really might catch one."
It just took all the fun out of it, ya know?

No, I have never been snipe humting. Snipe season is the same time of year as naugha season.
I grew up hunting naugha's. As a matter of fact we routinely kill several hundred naugha's each year.
I have a coat made of naugha-hyde. My furniture is also covered in naugha-hyde.
By the way what are snipes good for.

While I've never actually hunted snipe myself, I have often acted as a guide to take others hunting. Wanna go?

Snipe hunting is NJ's favorite sport...since they have outlawed all guns, and snakes and sparklers...... yep so in good ol NJ we go snipe hunting...no flashlights either, they were outlawed too, might start a fire if you shine them on dry leaves...... Yeah snipe hunting is more popular than baseball, basketball, nascar and even lawn darts!!! Go NJ!!!! Great state...LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes i shot 23 last season,i rate them as good as doves when it comes to eating them. What most people do not realize it that there really are game birds called snipe, they mostly live in swampy areas.and are legal game birds.
