Then they would have to make you put a sign in your front yard that said a deranged person lived there.

if the only qualification you're using is that the person be deranged and have a gun, most front yards would be full of signs.

it wouldn't help, alot of deranged people live in houses and have guns, like me for example and im an excellent shot.

No, that's not a police function. That's a legislative function since there is no law currently requiring that.
